The S.S. Nomadic is the only remaining historic link to Titanic left afloat. She is also the last surviving White Star Vessel in the world. Like the Titanic, she was built at the shipyards of Harland & Wolff in Belfast in the early 1900's, at that time the largest shipbuilding centre in the world. Nomadic was launched in 1911 and transported First and Second Class passengers out from Cherbourg to the ill fated Titanic.

After years of neglect, the Nomadic was purchased by the Department for Social Development on 26th January 2006 and the Trust was created the same year.

The Trust aims to ensure the maritime and industrial heritage of the era of Titanic is celebrated and shared. It aims to do so through the restoration and development of the SS Nomadic, the original tender for the Titanic, as a sustainable and popular tourist, cultural and education attraction that will act as a platform to promote our proud industrial and maritime heritage, including showcasing the history of Titanic and the White Star ships - a true legacy to Belfast!

SS Nomadic will receive £1 per recyclable cartridge and £3 per recyclable mobile phone that you register and return.
